Who can deny hot….hot…..cutlets in cold…cold…. season. So we are here with another new recipe made from Poha . We have used very basic and easy available ingredients .So why to wait …make Healthy Veggie Poha Cutlet today itself for Sunday special snacks. Enjoyyyy
Healthy Veggie Poha Cutlet
- 2 Cups- Poha/ Flatten Rice
- 4 – Boiled Potatoes
- 1 Cup-Chopped Fenugreek / Methi Leaves
- 1 Cup- Chopped Spinach / Palak
- 1 Cup- Shredded Carrot
- 2-3 Tbsp- Chopped Coriander Leaves
- 1 Tbsp-Chopped green chilli
- 1 Tsp- Finely crushed ginger
- 2.5 Tsp- Red Chilli Powder
- Salt as per taste
- 2 Tbsp-Chaat Masala
- 1/4 Tsp- Garam Masala
- 1 Tsp- Fennel / Saunf Seeds
- 1/2 Tsp- Black Paper Powder
- 1/2 Cup-Roasted & Crushed Peanuts
- 2-3 Tbsp- Chopped Dry Fruits( Cashews & Almonds )
- 1 Tsp- Sesame / Til Seeds
- 1 Cup- Bread Crumbs
- 2 Tbsp-Corn Flour
To begin with this recipe first wash & soak poha or flatten rice. Soak it for 4-5 minute, after that strain it and keep it aside for some time so that water can be drain out completely.
Take a big mixing bowl add in soaked poha , mash potatoes and all above mentioned ingredients except oil. Combine well everything.
You Can adjust spices according to your taste.( I did not use turmeric powder but if you wish then you can add it )
Now make tikki / cutlets shape according to your choice.Here we have used one mould.For this place a plastic sheet, apply some oil on it and then place mould & fill it with cutlet mixture.And give a nice shape, for final finish press half cut cashew on top of cutlets. This is how make ready all cutlets.
Heat a griddle / tawa , put some oil & place cutlets . Roast all cutlets with minimum oil.
When one side is properly roasted then flip it & again roast it from another side.When All are done then take out in a plate & serve hot with tamarind chutney , green chutney, sauce etc.Enjoyyyy
You can use onion & garlic but here we made without it.Its Purely a Jain recipe.
