Navratri is going to start, many of us do fasting.Some have regular food for time only but some do fast for nine days.So here we brought a different fasting dish, which we usually do not make. Today’s recipe name is Green Potatoes for Fast
So again this is tried and tasted recipe ,you must try this in this Navratri.

Green Potatoes for Fast
- 10-15 – Baby Potatoes ( Boiled & peeled)
- Oil for shallow frying or Ghee
- 1 bowl – Coriander Leaves
- 1 bowl – Mint Leaves
- 2-3 – Green Chilies
- 1 tsp – Ginger
- 1 tsp – Roasted Cumin Seeds
- 3-4 tbsp – Curd
- Black Salt to taste
In a grinder add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger , cumin, curd and black salt.
Now grind it and make fine puree, if you require then you can add little water too.So here green chutney is or base is ready.
Peel and prick baby potatoes, in a medium hot oil or ghee shallow fry all potatoes.
When they turn light golden brown in colour then remove from oil and keep them aside.
In pan add 1 tsp of oil then add green chutney. And cook it for some time ,when you find chutney is little bit thick then add potatoes,
and cook on lower flame for 2-3 minutes then turn off flame.
Garnish with lemon and pomegranate seeds.
