Festival season mode is on ЁЯША┬а During Durga Pooja in Bengal ,various type of prasads are being prepared. Today One of my friends Mahua Sahu,she, basically, is from Kolkata. And she taught me one type of prasad Khuchuri.
Infact she made this awesome recipe in my kitchen.I am very thankful to her. I have shared many recipes through her ЁЯЩВ

Khichuri
Ingredients
100 gm – Rice
150 gm – Yellow Moong Dal
2-3 tbsp – Oil
1/2 tsp -Panch Fodan ( Cumin seeds, Fennel seeds, Mustard seeds, Nigella seeds / kalonji, Fenugreek ┬а ┬а seeds)
2-Whole Red chillies
1-Bay leaf
3 -Cloves
1 – Cinnamon stick
1 tsp – Grated Ginger
1/4 Tsp – Cardamom Powder
1 tsp – Red chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp – Turmeric Powder
1 Tbsp – Coriander Powder
Salt to Taste
2 tbsp -Ghee
2 tsp-Sugar
3-4 glasses -Water
Vegetables┬а
1 Cup-Broad Beans Chopped
1 Cup-Carrot Chopped in Big pieces
1 Cup-Radish Chopped in Big pieces
1 Cup-Spinach chopped
1/2 Cup-Green Peas
1 Cup -Brinjal Chopped in Big pieces
Process
In a pressure cooker add oil and when it is heated then add red chillies, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf, panch fodan, ginger and give a quick stir.
Now fry broad beans, carrot, radish, brinjal, spinach with little salt for 2-3 minutes.
Add in turmeric powder, coriander powder.
Now time to add washed dal & rice now give a quick stir , then add green peas.
Add water about 3-4 glasses or you can add more, sprinkle some red chilli powder , cardamom powder, salt and finally add ghee.
Close pressure cooker lid. Take 2 whistles then let it cool down.
At last when you open cooker add 2 tsp of sugar and mix it well. Khichuri Is ready. ЁЯЩВ
