Zero Oil Pakodi Sabji

Hello Friends,

We love to have pakodi with chutneys in monsoon or winter specially. But many of us try to avoid this because of deep frying.So we brought a better option without oil or zero oil we can enjoy pakodi or fritters at any time.Today we came with Zero Oil Pakodi Sabji.

Zero Oil Pakodi Sabji

Ingredients

 For Pakodi or Dumplings

  1. 1 Cup – Besan or Gram Flour
  2. 1/4 Tsp- Turmeric Powder
  3. 1/2 Tsp- Red Chilli Powder
  4. 1/2 Tsp- Fennel Seeds
  5. Pinch of – Cooking Soda
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Water

For Gravy or Tadka

  1. 1 Big- chopped onion
  2. 1 Big- copped green chilli
  3. 1 Tbsp- Ginger garlic paste
  4. Pinch of- Asafoetida
  5. 2- chopped tomato
  6. 1.5 tsp- Red chilli powder
  7. 1/4 tsp- Turmeric
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 tsp- Coriander powder
  10. pinch of – Garam masala
  11. 1 bowl- Beaten or whisked curd
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. Water

Process

In a bowl add besan or gram flour then add turmeric, red chilli , fennel seeds, cooking soda, salt & add water to make pakodi or fritters batter.

In this batter you can coriander leaves too.

Take Appam Maker Stand ( for this please have a look on our videos ).

Heat appam maker and pour pakodi batter in wholes. Then cover it with a lid, wait for couple of minutes.Keep an eyes on this dish.When back side of appam is cooked then turn them around. Again cover it and wait for next to cook properly. When its all done then remove from stand .

Take a pan add chopped onion fry them till they become translucent. Then add green chilli, ginger garlic paste, asafoetida & tomato . Now cook them well.

When tomatoes are soft then add turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala powder with small amount of water, cook till masalas / species are cooked.Now add whisked curd and for sometime.When it is cooked properly then add water.

Here you can adjust consistency according to your desire.Let water boil then add fritters or pakodi. We have added pieces of pakodi, but if you wish then add whole pakodi into water.

Add coriander leaves and boil for 1-2 minutes only.Serve hot with chapati etc. Enjoyyyy
