Roasted Chivda with Special Masala


For Chivda Masala

  1. Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
  2. Fennel Powder – 1/2 tsp
  3. Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  4. Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  5. Salt to Taste
  6. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Chaat Masala – 1 Tsp
  8. Garam Masala- a pinch

For Chivda

  1. Thin Poha – 3 Cups
  2. Peanuts – 1/2 Cup
  3. Almonds- 20-21
  4. Cashews- 1/4 Cup
  5. Raisins- 1 Tbsp
  6. Dry Coconut Sliced-1/4 Cup
  7. Slit Green Chilli- 1-2
  8. Curry Leaves – 10-15
  9. Salt to Taste
  10. Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
  11. Powdered Sugar-1 Tbsp
  12. Oil- 2-3 Tbsp


To make Chivda Masala Powder add all above mentioned chivda masala ingredients in a bowl and then mix it well, keep it aside.

Now in a separate pan dry roast thin poha. When poha changes its colour and crisp too then turn off flame and transfer into a plate & keep it aside. (For this process you can follow our video above 👆 )

In that same pan heat 2-3 tbsp oil, fry peanuts, almonds, cashews, raisins & dry coconut separately. Keep aside.

In remaining oil add green chilli & curry leaves. Fry them for few seconds then add turmeric powder.Now add roasted poha, 2-3 tbsp of chivda masala powder ,you can adjust powder according to your taste.Finally add sugar and gently mix it.

Chivda is ready to be served.You can store it for long time too. Enjoyyyy
