presenting a green peas recipe which is completely cooked in curd..It’s Dahi Matar

Dahi Matar
Ingredients
- 1 Cup – Green Peas
- 2 Cups- Beaten Curd
- 1 Big – Onion chopped
- 5-6 – Garlic pods
- 1/2 Inch- Ginger
- 3-4 – Spicy green chillies chopped
- 1.5 tbsp- Oil
- Pinch of – Asafoetida / heeng
- 2 – Cloves Powder/ laung
- 1 – Bay Leaf/tej patta
- 1 tsp – Fennel Seeds / saunf
- 1 Tsp – Mustard seeds / raai
- 1/4 – Turmeric Powder
- 1.5 Tsp – Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Tbsp – Coriander Powder
- Salt to Taste
- 1 Tsp – Kitchen King Masala
- 1 tbsp – Water
Method
- Before start cooking we need to make a finely crush paste.For this step we will add Garlic + Ginger + Green Chillies + Onion. Now crush them and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan then add pinch of asafoetida or heeng + cloves powder + bay leaf + fennel or saunf + mustard seeds when they splutter add onion and garlic paste . Fry it till it changes its colour.
- Now add turmeric powder + red chilli powder + coriander powder + salt and then mix spices well.Add little amount of water around 1 Tbsp. And fry masala till oil separates.
- Time to add beaten curd then fresh green peas, mix them well then cover it.
- Cook them till peas get soft ,but meanwhile stir them too otherwise spices may get burn. This process will take 15-20 min.
- If you wish to keep running consistency then add water otherwise keep it little dry. Finally add kitchen king masala and stir it well.
- It’s ready to be served with chapati , paratha or puri . Serve hot..

Add Crush Paste
Fry till Oil Separates
Add Turmeric Powder
Add Red Chilli Powder
Add Coriander Powder
Salt to Taste
Mix Them
1 Tbsp of water
Fry spices till Oil Separates
Add beaten curd
Add Green Peas
Mix properly
Cover it, and Cook them till peas get soft
Perfect Consistency
Add Kitchen King Masala
Done 🙂
