Corn Fritters | Makai ke Pakode


  1. Corn Kernels crushed-1 bowl
  2. Gram flour / Besan- 150 gm
  3. Rice flour – 50 gm
  4. Onion chopped- 1
  5. Green chilli chopped- 1
  6. Ginger chopped – 1/4 tsp
  7. Fennel seeds/saunf- 1 tsp
  8. Carom seeds/ajwain- 1 tsp
  9. Asafoetida / heeng- a pinch
  10. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  11. Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Black pepper crushed- 4
  14. Cloves crushed-2
  15. Lemon juice-1 tsp
  16. Water- 1/2 glass
  17. Coriander leaves
  18. Oil for deep frying


Take crushed corn kernels in a bowl add all above mentioned ingredients but add water slowly.

Make semi thick batter.

Heat oil for deep frying take a 1 tbsp of hot oil and add it into batter and whisk it well.

Start making pakoras by dropping  small portions of batter in hot oil, few minutes later flip them too.Fry them on medium high flame, when they changes their colure to brown in colour take them out on tissue paper.

Fritters / Pakoras will be very crispy, have them with tea in rainy season. Or you can make it in starter too. Enjoyyyy 😋
