- 1 tbsp -Oil ( for paneer frying )
- 1 Tbsp- Oil ( for rice making )
- 1 tbsp -Ghee
- 1/2 + 1/2 tsp – Cardamom Powder
- 12-13 – Whole Cardamom
- Salt to Taste
To begin with this recipe we need to make rice, for this boil 3-4 glasses of water.
When it is boiling then add 5-6 whole cardamoms and salt. Then add washed basmati rice. And let it cook till it is done.
When you find that rice is done then strain water out of rice by using strainer. And keep rice aside.
In a pan add 1 tbsp of oil ,when it is enough hot then add paneer cubes.Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder on paneer (paneer cubes will infuse cardamom flavour ). And fry paneer from both sides.Take out in a plate and keep aside.
In the same pan add 1 tbsp oil + 1 Tbsp ghee ,into this add 5-6 whole cardamoms, chopped carrots, chopped french beans, then sprinkle some salt and sugar . Sugar is optional here. And saute them well.
Next add boiled and chopped potato.Mix it well next add green peas (here I am using frozen peas ) Sprinkle some salt for potato and peas. Cook all these for 2-3 min.
Finally add rice into pan ,some salt for rice portion and mix everything gently but very well. Now cover it for only 2 minute.
Open the lid and add fried paneer cubes and sprinkle 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder and gently mix them together . So your Cardamom or Elahchi Pulav is ready. Enjoyyyy
Happy Cooking 🙂
