Quick and easy Pulav

Jhatpat Pulav

There are so many recipes of rice, but today I am here with a quick version of rice.You can name it bachelor recipe too.In this recipe you can adjust quantity according to you.And you can add more vegetables too.It is simple and tasty pulav recipe.

Ingredients
Rice- 3 cups
( soaked in 5 cups of water)
Capsicum-1
3. Onion-2
4. Tomatoes-4
5. Lemon juice-1 piece
6. Butter-2cubes
7. Oil- 1 tbsp
8. Cloves-2-3
9. Black Pepper-4-5
10. Cardamom-2
11. Cumin Seeds-1/2 tsp
12. Fennel/saunf- 1/2 tsp
13. Cinnamon powder-1/4 tsp
14. Salt taste
15. Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
16. Everest Sambhar Masala-2 tsp
17. Coriander powder- 1 tsp

Process
First of all we will wash and soak rice for min.1/2 an hour or max.1 hour.
We will chop capsicum,onion & tomatoes.
Heat a pressure cooker,add oil when its hot then add cumin & fennel/saunf,let it crackle.
Then add onions,sauté well till onion gets translucent. After that add cloves,black Pepper,cardamom and mix well.
Now add tomatoes, cook 4-5 min.
Then add cinnamon powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder.
This time add lemon juice and mix rice with water with ratio of 3:5.
Now add salt and sambhar masala then close cooker lid,cook till 1 whistle.
In a tadka pan add butter and capsicum,do not over cook it we want its crunchy taste, within 2-3 min.it will be done.
When pulav is ready then in a serving plate serve pulav and garnish with capsicum.
This pulav goes best with raita. Enjoyyyyy 🙂
