tomorrow is Raksha bandhan festival.So we do celebrate Veer Puli festival on Sunday just before this day.This is too a celebration of brother and sister.On this day we make specially daal-baati and churma. So presenting “Rajasthani Churme ke Laddu”.
Rajasthani Churme ke Laddu
- Wheat flour -3 bowls
- Ghee – 4-5 tbsp for moyan
- Water – 1 glass
- Sugar powder -2.5 cup
- Ghee for laddu-100-150 GM
- Dry fruits – cashews, almonds (You can add cardamom powder)
Take flour in a dough plate add ghee for moyan. Mix it properly. Add gradually luke warm water and knead the stiff dough. Now make big three balls out of that dough.Heat tandoor then place all three balls on that, cover it, lower the gas flame and bake it till all balls turns brown from all side.
When all balls done then crush them in grinder, grind them into a coarse powder. Now sieve this powder, again grind coarse remaining lumps.This process takes time. Add powdered sugar, dry fruits and diluted ghee into balls powder.Mix properly and start making Laddos out of that. Serve it with dal-bati.This is a very popular combo in Rajasthan specially .
